The following email was sent to all past Typhoon Texas Kids Triathlon participants on 11/22/2021 announcing our partnership with the Houston Texans.
Good afternoon, Race Director Tony here with an exciting announcement!
For 6 years the Typhoon Texas Kids Triathlon has provided a positive youth-only multi-sport event and over 6,000 young athletes have crossed the finish line. And now, going into the 7th annual event at Typhoon Texas Waterpark, I am proud to announce our partnership with the Houston Texans!
With this partnership comes a new name, new race logo, and additional race day bonuses / perks that will be announced soon. The Typhoon Texas Kids Triathlon will now be the Houston Texans Kids Triathlon presented by Texas Children’s Hospital.
The event is still owned and operated by my company, Negative Split Productions, a local Houston-based production company which has been part of some of the best produced Houston-area endurance events for nearly a decade. I will still be the Race Director and you’ll still have a direct line of communication with me via the support email as you have for the past 6 years.
The goal with this new partnership is to continue the pursuit of introducing multi-sport to as many youth as possible and encourage an active and healthy lifestyle. I hope you will be with us in welcoming our new event partners, the Houston Texans and Texas Children’s Hospital.
The 2022 Houston Texan’s Kids Triathlon presented by Texas Children’s Hospital will be held on April 23rd and 24th with registration opening this Monday, November 22nd at 9am!
